Owner Carey Hess is a 5th-generation Colorado Springs native who started this company to do HVAC differently, with honest options, quality work, and fair prices. how We Got Started
Carey Hess came to HVAC after more than 20 years in the waste industry, where he learned what customers really want: do what you say you are going to do, when you say you will do it, and keep them informed the whole way through. Too often he watched HVAC companies do the opposite, over-selling and using high-pressure tactics to push systems people did not need.
So he built Simply Smart HVAC Solutions around the opposite idea. From day one, the directive has been simple: never sell the customer something they don’t need. The goal was never to squeeze every dollar out of a project, but to be a trusted provider that adds real value to people’s homes. That approach is the reason most of our work still comes from customer referrals, and it is something we are genuinely proud of.

Meet Carey and the Team
Carey Hess is a Colorado Springs native, the 5th generation of his family to call this area home. Family is his top priority, with a wife and four children, and he runs the business the way he would want his own family treated. He is backed by a skilled crew, including master technician Brandon, who helps keep every job to a high standard. Across the board, our technicians average more than 10 years of HVAC experience.
